Stevie receives a phone call to let her know she is desperately needed on her father's farm. She returns home to Nettlebed Farm to find her father almost housebound after suffering a stroke. The cows are undernourished and being checked on by animal welfare who are threatening to take them away and have her father imprisoned.
Expecting to spend just a couple of weeks on the farm, Stevie ends up leaving both her job as an Accountant in London, and her boyfriend who is pushing her to get married, and moves back to the family farm to help sort out the problems. She takes over the day to day running and makes plans to diversify to keep the farm solvent.
Whilst looking after the cows and bringing them back to good health Stevie spends a lot of time with Leo the locum vet. Romance could be in the air.
