As he leaves the house one Saturday morning to go out and play golf Cameron Swift is shot and killed by a gunman on a motorbike. Shortly afterwards a photograph of the body is anonymously put out on Twitter.
DC Beth Chamberlain is part of the team investigating the murder and she is also asked to be the family liaison officer. She is taking care of his girlfriend and two children who were in the house when Cameron was shot outside. The police investigate Cameron's background and finances and it looks like he could be a part of a local money laundering scheme. Then another woman phones the police from India where she is on holiday with her children wanting to know why she had not been informed of Cameron's death. He appeared to have been living two separate lives. Neither woman knew about the other one.
