When Ana's friend Daisy dies, Ana inherits an old camper van. Ana has to travel from London to St Felix in Cornwall to collect the van. When she gets there she finds that it is not roadworthy so she has to stay in St Felix whilst it is restored. During the restoration some old postcards, written from the 1940's onwards, are found hidden around the van. They are all written to Frankie from Lou but were never posted.
With the help of new friends she makes in St Felix, Ana begins to search for Lou and Frankie so that the cards can be returned. Staying in St Felix, spending time by the sea and with the friendliness and helpfulness of the locals Ana has a chance to grieve for Daisy and begin to find happiness again.
