A Day In The Death of Dorothea Cassidy by Ann Cleeves

Early one morning two young boys find the dead body of Dorothea Cassidy lying in the local park. Inspector Stephen Ramsay is called in to investigate and find out what her movements had been during the whole of the previous day.

Dorothea, the wife of the local vicar and a trained social worker, had visited numerous people the day before she was found dead.  She was involved with a lot of people in the church and the community and was offering her help and support.  Any one of them could have had a motive to kill her.
