The Sullivan family own a Christmas tree farm. As the parents are wanting to step back from the business they need their eldest son Charlie to take on a bigger public relations role. Although Charlie is good at managing the business and working with the trees he does not like Christmas.
Charlie's mum manages to convince Candice Gains to take Charlie along to some Christmas meetings and events. Candice loves Christmas and as it is a time of year when she misses her mum, she keeps herself really busy and throws herself into as many Christmas committees as she can.
At first Candice is convinced that Charlie is really grumpy but the more she gets to know him the more she starts to like him and realise that he is actually a really lovely man.
