This is the Fourth book in the Little Beach Street Bakery series. Although the story takes place in Mount Polbearne and includes the characters of Polly and Huckle who live in the lighthouse, they are not the main focus of this story.
Marisa Rossi moves to Mount Polbearne as she needs some peace and solitude as she is struggling with her grief following the death of her grandfather. She is becoming more and more solitary, to the point of being worried about leaving the house. The peace she is expecting is not found as the man who moves in next door is a piano teacher who takes lessons from home and the walls are very thin.
Marisa loves to cook and with the encouragement of grandmother in Italy, with whom she is in regular Skype contact, she tries to build bridges with the angry next door neighbour through offering food.
